Hui Chen, Ethics & Compliance Activist, Speaker Writer and Consultant
Hui Chen is an ethics and compliance leader with experience across industries and around the globe. Until June 2017, she served as the first exclusive Compliance Counsel Expert at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she assisted the prosecutors in the evaluation of corporate compliance programs, and authored the list of questions used in these evaluations. Previously, she served as the Global Head of Anti-Bribery and Corruption at Standard Chartered Bank in London, Assistant General Counsel for international investigations at Pfizer, Inc. in New York, and Compliance Director for Microsoft in Beijing. Hui began her career as a U.S. federal prosecutor in the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and New York. Hui speaks Italian, Chinese and Russian, has lived and worked in Moscow, Kiev, Munich, Beijing, New York and London, and conducted compliance investigations and reviews in Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East.

Kurt brings more than 20 years of finance and compliance expertise in multi-industry global businesses, including 9 years of operations experience in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. He has a proven track record of building and leading ethics and compliance teams and driving solutions in partnership with the business. Most recently, Kurt was CECO at General Cable Corporation, a Fortune 500 global wire and cable manufacturing leader. Prior to General Cable, Kurt was the CECO at PPG Industries, a Fortune 200 manufacturer of coatings. Earlier in his career, he held CECO positions for the sovereign wealth fund, Mubadala, and in the aviation division of GE.

Shawn Cleveland is a partner in Winston & Strawn's White Collar, Regulatory Defense & Investigations Practice with extensive experience in government and internal investigations, white collar criminal litigation, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) enforcement actions, and complex litigation. He has represented clients in some of the most high-profile matters in the country over the last two decades. Shawn provides trusted advice to boards and management on corporate governance and compliance issues in connection with investigations and litigation. In addition, Shawn brings a valuable business-oriented approach to problems based on his long experience advising companies as a lawyer and as a CPA in his prior career.
Brent McDaniel, Managing Partner at KPMG
Using his unique viewpoint and skillsets developed over the past 20 years working around the world as an in house ethics and compliance officer, in the US Government, and in his current role as a Managing Director in KPMG's Forensic practice in Dallas, Brent works collaboratively with clients across industries and geographies to solve critical business issues involving ethics and compliance, investigations, and related disputes. Brent has a broad spectrum of experience in robustly and efficiently handling complex, high profile projects for Boards of Directors, Corporate Executives, and their legal counsel. These projects have included: investigations and related remediation; compliance and anti-corruption due diligence for third parties and acquisitions; the enhancement/remediation of ethics & compliance programs; and the resolution of disputes and litigation.
