Convercent today announces the launch of the CONVERGE community, an online gathering place for the ethics and compliance profession. The new community includes E&C discussion forums, a thought leadership and best practices resource center, and an event series that includes the original CONVERGE conferences plus roundtables, forums, and informal coffee chats.
“CONVERGE is like Reddit meets the Harvard Business Review, combined with the magic of our original CONVERGE conference and a sleek user experience—and it’s all focused on ethics and compliance,” says Jenna Thomas, Convercent’s Content Marketing Manager. “There’s nothing like it for our profession. It’s already an incredible resource, and I envision it growing into much more.”
Leading the charge as EVP of CONVERGE is Convercent’s new Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Asha Palmer, who officially joined the Convercent team last month. Palmer, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney with the Department of Justice, brings to CONVERGE a wealth of industry experience, but more importantly an innovative approach to compliance and a vision for the future of our profession.
Despite officially launching today, the CONVERGE community already has hundreds of active members thanks to a beta testing phase involving leading voices in the ethics and compliance profession, plus members of Convercent’s previous user community.
“I think all of us in the E&C community are on a journey…to make businesses more ethical, but more importantly to drive ethics to the center of business. What we have created [with CONVERGE] is a community with the space to connect and navigate that journey together,” said Compliance Evangelist Tom Fox on a recent episode of the podcast The Ethics Movement.
