Convercent, a leading global provider of ethics and compliance software, today received the “Company of the Year” award from the Colorado Technology Association (CTA) at the 2021 Apex Awards. With the winner selected by a panel of community judges, the Company of the Year award goes to a leader within the Colorado tech industry.
This accolade recognizes a Colorado-based company whose “overall performance sets it apart as a leader through technical innovation and concrete examples of how it is meeting a need in the marketplace,” according to the CTA. “This company also is a strong leader in the community and shows corporate responsibility.”
Despite month after month of global upheaval in 2020, Convercent experienced positive year-over-year revenue growth and avoided laying off or furloughing a single employee. In fact, overall headcount increased, and revenue continues to grow in 2021.
Not only did the company maintain stability internally, it also led its industry through the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic, becoming the first and only E&C technology provider to add a “COVID” issue type so its customers could track and mitigate the risk and impact of COVID-19 on their businesses. Convercent quickly pivoted to create COVID-19 thought leadership and expertise for the compliance industry, beginning in early March 2020. The innovation and leadership continued with the launch of the CONVERGE community, the only one of its kind for ethics and compliance practitioners, in July 2020; and a groundbreaking virtual CONVERGE20 conference in October.
“Our mission—to drive ethics to the center of business—is more relevant and essential than it’s ever been,” says Patrick Quinlan, Convercent CEO and co-founder. “We recognize this win as an acknowledgement of that fact from our community, and we celebrate alongside our customers, who are deeply engaged with us in the effort to make this world a more ethical place. This is a testament to their impact and the grit, tenacity, and hard work of the entire Convercent team that goes back to the very beginning when co-founder Steve Foster, long-time Denver area technology advocate, helped plant our mission. I look forward to another year working with the best team and customers in the industry.”
